Farewell, my idol...

Two modern football legends perform the ultimate act of respect for the opponent. Zinédine Yazid Zidane (R) lives to fight another day, but Luís Filipe Madeira Caeiro Figo (L) might have played his last match for Portugal. Brought together by a policy which has now virtually destroyed a club, the warrior friends were the only "galacticos" in a team of flattering superstars.
At least, Zidane already has 2 national honors to show (FIFA World Cup '98 and UEFA EURO 2000). But, poor Figo has nothing. Apart from a wealth of wonderful memories of jaw-dropping dribbling and a clutch of club victories. Mercenary he may have been, but a self-centric, one-trick pony, he is not.
THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES!!!
